Great to find an honest dealership!!! I agreed to have severe mileage sevice performed on my used 2016, 1600 Sierra. The total for all of the service items was to come to around $1300.00. But, I've always believed in paying now to head off bigger issues later. I was waiting for my vehicle for about two hours when Jake Smith, my service advisor, found me and said the technician working on my vehicle discovered much of the service I agreed to had been done on the last visit. Therefore, the cost would be around $250.00, instead of the $1300.00 bill I was expecting. My mind was totally blown! We hear so much about why we should not take our vehicles to a dealership for service. It's a rip-off, etc. But the crew at Newby I believe, is truly the exception. I'm still blown away by the honesty. They could have just charged me and not said anything. I will not take my truck anywhere else, and without reservation, will highly recommend Newby.

My service rep was Doug Miller, and he's fantastic. He remembered me from last year, when I had wheel bearings replaced. I brought my Yukon in this time believing that I would need new disc pads and perhaps new rotors - it has 120l miles and the pads had never been replaced. Doug had an inspection done, and determined that tlhe pads still had 50% of life remaining, and didn't need replacement. I appreciate the mechanic's honest assessment and Doug's excellent customer relations skills.

Work was begun on my vehicle before a diagnosis was explained to me. During the time in the shop another diagnosis was made and “parts ordered”, labor billed due to the dash needing to be torn down to replace the part once again before i was called or informed. Also, this is a little petty but my air filters and were replace and billed ($120 worth) without my knowledge. I had just replaced them 2 weeks prior when my oil was changed. I have worked in the car industry before, and also spent time workin in the service department. So far i am 0 for 2 with experiences here. Seems like a massive money grab every time I go. 3 stars because they do seem to do quality work and I haven’t had problems on repairs or services/warranty claims they have done.

Was a very poor experience and will now have to go back a third time for the same issue. I originally set up an appointment to have a recall item fixed and have the sd navigation card looked at as it has never worked since the day I purchased the truck. I called and explained the request and the service team scheduled the appointment, meaning they should be prepared with parts and know why I am there. Upon arrival they proceeded to tell me that the sd card is expensive but they will try to do me a favor and see if they can cover it under warranty. What!? I don’t care if it is expensive, and I don’t care if your job is hard. The truck is under bumper to bumper warranty and I am pretty sure the card is between the bumpers. Please don’t make me feel like an inconvenience to you. Later that day the manager calls and says they can’t get to my truck today and I can come pick it up. Okay, I am reasonable and understand things get busy. Upon my arrival, a good manager would reschedule on the spot. But no, he says just call us again sometime to reschedule, bye. Annoying. I set up a second appointment the same way as above. Upon my arrival they ask, did you have an appointment? As if I didn’t, and second, do you know if we ordered your parts? How would I know if you ordered the parts? I set the appointment and the guy told me to come in, I would assume you have the parts or he would not have set the appointment. I should not have to be the one to confirm that you have the parts. This time the fixes were done, but I am not happy. Someone made the decision without asking me if I want a new steering wheel with awful red stitching which doesn’t match any other stitching in the truck. The panels on the recal steering wheel also don’t match the truck panels. In addition, I swear they put the steering wheel on crooked, I didn’t have an alignment problem before I took it in, now my steering wheel is sideways when I drive straight. If you are going to change someone’s cosmetics, you need to ask. Otherwise put in a steering wheel that matches. I now have to go back a third time to get the steering wheel sorted out.

Mr. Doug in the service center told me that after putting it on their machines that I needed a new catalytic converter for $2200. That was wrong. It was bad. It was misleading and it was a lie. I took my car to my mechanic and he put it on his machine told me to go buy a bottle of carburetor Cleaner, and there was no more light on my dashboard after that. How do those people at the dealership sleep at night when they lie to their customers and trying and force thousands of dollars from poor customers that can’t afford to do pay that bill. that is terrible that Buick dealership should be closed down and never sell another car.

In speaking with the tech he followed GM Document ID: 4573300 for code P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency for your vehicle in following the procedure it directed the technician to the catalytic converter for replacement. Brought truck in for transmission related issues along with an abs/ traction light. Greeted promptly by service writer . Talked through issues and started to feel uncomfortable with course of conversation. As an automotive technician/service writer of almost 25 years I’ve had my fair share of personality conflicts and left it at that. When I received call next day saying a fuse for bcm had fallen out or was removed and it was customer pay my concern grew as the light had come on only a day earlier . If they said fuse blew that would be more plausible to me . Over all I won’t be coming back to this dealership . I encourage management to listen to the phone conversations so that they can determine for them selves if interactions were appropriate .

Hi, we appreciate your honest review. We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one. In regard to the advisor you spoke with we do apologize for the communication differences. In speaking with the technician, the ABS and traction light was on with 96 DTC's in system (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) following the diagnostic procedure it first has you check fuses and upon inspection of the fusses found the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) fuse to be missing. After installation of the fuse and resetting the system not DTC's came back on for the ABS and Traction concern. For the transmission code P0747 Valve 1 stuck was on indicating a valve body issue and GM recommend to replace valve body ,the vehicle is under warranty for the Valve body and the fuses are not covered as the vehicle has over 36k miles on it . Also we charged only the time involved on the fuse replacement that was a half hour and not the full hour quoted during write up. My service advisor Jake Smith was very responsive and scheduled the work to be done in a very professional manner, provided transportation to my home and back after the work was completed on my defective 2020 GMC Sierra Denali Diesel 2500 Truck, "LEMON". That being said, I was quoted one hour labor plus parts, (two plastic wind shield washer nozzles, to complete the repair. When I arrived to pay my bill I was charged for two hours labor $259.31, two nozzles $47.23, Shop Supplies??? $25.93 and Sales Tax $22.44 for a total bill of $354.91. After looking at the work that was completed and what was involved, in my opinion this repair took 45 minutes maximum to complete not two hours and also in my opinion shop supplies were not used, (this is padding the bill). It is obvious that $345.91, for 45 minutes work to install 2 small plastic parts, and padded with shop supplies??? is not appropriate for this minor repair! The truck also has 36,083 miles on it with a recall for a defective designed transmission with rear wheel lockup potential, way-to-go-GM !!!!! And now the window washer failed and other issues such as they used the wrong brake shoes when built. GM will not recall the truck and their cure for the lockup problem is to rewrite the software that does not cure the problem. What actually happens in fact is aluminum particles are in the transmission due to a poorly designed transmission valve body that disintegrates. Did you know that this transmission was a joint effort by Ford and GM??? Anyway, looks like I got bit off track, i will save the transmission problem for another day, it is not the dealerships problem, it is General Motors LLC. They refuse to recall the truck and I spent alot of $$$ when I purchased it.

Don’t think the other advisor wanted to deal with my husband. And while you are listening, why doesn’t your waiting room look better?
