My service advisor Jake Smith was very responsive and scheduled the work to be done in a very professional manner, provided transportation to my home and back after the work was completed on my defective 2020 GMC Sierra Denali Diesel 2500 Truck, "LEMON". That being said, I was quoted one hour labor plus parts, (two plastic wind shield washer nozzles, to complete the repair. When I arrived to pay my bill I was charged for two hours labor $259.31, two nozzles $47.23, Shop Supplies??? $25.93 and Sales Tax $22.44 for a total bill of $354.91. After looking at the work that was completed and what was involved, in my opinion this repair took 45 minutes maximum to complete not two hours and also in my opinion shop supplies were not used, (this is padding the bill). It is obvious that $345.91, for 45 minutes work to install 2 small plastic parts, and padded with shop supplies??? is not appropriate for this minor repair! The truck also has 36,083 miles on it with a recall for a defective designed transmission with rear wheel lockup potential, way-to-go-GM !!!!! And now the window washer failed and other issues such as they used the wrong brake shoes when built. GM will not recall the truck and their cure for the lockup problem is to rewrite the software that does not cure the problem. What actually happens in fact is aluminum particles are in the transmission due to a poorly designed transmission valve body that disintegrates. Did you know that this transmission was a joint effort by Ford and GM??? Anyway, looks like I got bit off track, i will save the transmission problem for another day, it is not the dealerships problem, it is General Motors LLC. They refuse to recall the truck and I spent alot of $$$ when I purchased it.

When we first arrived at the dealership with an appointment, we were told that there would be a long wait. My husband snapped back with attitude, and said what good was it to make an appointment? I smoothed it over with the service advisor saying sorry. But my husband was right. We waited in the waiting room and before the hour was up, in came a different service advisor, the one I had last time I came there.. he was very good to us. Karo Karchyan made it right. Don’t think the other advisor wanted to deal with my husband. And while you are listening, why doesn’t your waiting room look better? I’ve been to several over the years, especially the one in South Jordan, Utah, Jerry Seiner GMC/BUICK. Their waiting room is awesome, this Newby Buick dealership needs to get up with the times. I was always welcomed by name by our service advisor, this one doesn’t know me from Adam. I’ve been there 4 times now, wouldn’t you think I’d get better treatment? They should take lessons from Josh, service advisor in South Jordan. 😊 I spent 60K and what do I get? I don’t feel comfortable here at Newby. Something wrong here…

I experienced a problem that affected my coolant system, something I had been forewarned by letter 2 months earlier from GM. It was Friday when I contacted Newby service center, they were familiar with the situation and scheduled me for the following Tuesday. Since I live 35 miles away I took the vehicle in on Monday and left it. I also had them change the oil. Much to my surprise I was called late Monday afternoon and the vehicle was ready! Fast and efficient service! The problem appears to be solved. Newby is a great place to go when one has a problem with a car.

My visit was quick and efficient. I was able to use the Wi-Fi in the lobby to work on my laptop while my oil was changed and the tires were rotated. I scheduled the visit online and they had openings the same day.

The sales people were great. Cami was awesome. The Finacial was a mess . We were approved and waited two hours to sign. There was only one other couple there. Finally I told them I had to leave and surprise 5 min later they were ready for us to sign. The carpet on the driver’s side is cut short. I took it to service and was told I had to drive back another day because the manager and division manager had to approve and that they may not. I can’t drive back on weekdays 200 miles. I felt that was very unprofessional. He even told me to fog to Gilmore or cedar to have it fixed.

My 2024 Canyon Denali has just under 14k miles on it and has never had any kind of software update. When I tried at home to update the software, the infoscreen said that the update was unsuccessful and to bring the truck into my dealer. I charged the battery for two days and retried to update software and was successful, but the only software update was installed was the update that updates the software updater. Having heard about other software updates for the Canyon, I made an appointment for an early 15k service and wanted to have any available dealer installed software updates installed. When I picked up the truck, the oil had been changed, the tires rotated, but no software updates installed. When I asked about why no software updates had been installed, the service writer told me that unless something were "broken", I would have to be charged $114. to have any software updates installed. My quite new truck isn't "broken". In fact, I consider it to be quite a wonderful vehicle. I want to keep this vehicle well maintained and updated. The truck is under warranty. Why, if software updates are available, should I be charged a substantial amount of money in order to have the updates installed?

One of the best gmc service depts I’ve ever been in and I used to work a Chevy dealer service dept! I’ve been to every dealership I’m the last Vegas valley, they all act like they have so many cute or a that they can’t possible provide good service. I didn’t buy my truck and Newby, but they were still able to hook me up with the first free service visit, adjusted my tire pressures properly and they installed my bed cover very quickly while I waited. Full service and bed install and I was out of there in record. Doug made sure I was take care of and the entire process start to finish was very easy. I listened to some of the deals going down in the showroom while I waited and newby seemed to be giving great trade in values and seemed to make a good effort to earn their customers business. Waiting area was clean, quiet and quite nice. Will definitely be back.

Everything was fine EXCEPT my vehicle interior on drivers side was filthy. Dirty foot prints on door sill, carpet and drivers foot rest area filthy. Whoever was responsible for moving it in and out of the service area or the service tech had dirty/greasy shoes. The car has light grey interior ! I would expect to receive the car back to me in at least the same condition. I thought a wet rag might wipe it off but that didn’t work. I had to use carpet cleaner and Dawn soap on the bottom plastic door sill. I should have refused the vehicle but I had another appointment. We spend a lot of money on these vehicles. I hope my next experience is better. Thank you.

Oil change and tire rotation done. Set tire pressures on all tires including spare to specified pressures as I requested. He also made sure I was receiving the correct synthetic oil grade as specified for the type of car I have. (Receipt page from previous oil change and yesterday’s oil change states wrong oil grade)
